Team competitions at the last day of IMC 2016

IMC 2016 had its last competition day Saturday in Knyken Norway. Two team competitions were arranged. It started in the morning with a team event in HS55. In the afternoon four nations compeeted at the ski arena with the cross country part of the nordic combined team competition. At the picture you see the medal ceremony for team nordic combined.

Norway 1 won the team competition in HS 55. Alf Tore Haug, Knut Bjerke, Knut Bjørnar Strøm and Kurt Kristiansen jumped at the Norwegian team. Knut Bjørnar Strøm jumped 54,5 metres in his second jump, the longest jump of the day. Norway 2 took the silver medal, and Finland 1 came third in the team event.

Knut Bjørnar Strøm, the hill record holder in K75, jumped very good in the team competition.
This is Vaino Karjalainen(Finland 2) in more traditional style.
Minaylov Vitaly from Russia is landing one of his two jumps in the team competition.
The team from Finland had a really good day at the ski arena in Knyken. Team Finland became World Champions in the nordic combined team competition. Russia did a good cross country competition and the russian team came second. Norway 1 took the bronze medals. Norway 2 came fourth. At the picture you see Timo Maukonen from Finland. Timo had the last leg at team Finland. After a good leg Maukonen crossed the finnish line first in Knyken. You can watch a video from the nordic combined team competition at our Facebook site.
Norway 1 took the bronze medals in NC team competition.
IMC 2016 ends with at celebration banquet at Knyken Saturday evening. Orkdal Idrettslag and Knyken skisenter thank all the participants for visiting Knyken and Orkdal! Welcome back in another occation!
